Die Installation «Proberaum» (2022) versammelt eine Reihe von grossformatigen Fotografien, die Sanchez’ Untersuchung des Verhältnisses von ästhetischer und alltäglicher Wahrnehmung fortführen. Sie zeigen Personen, freigestellt auf weissem Hintergrund. Ob sitzend oder stehend, zugewandt oder abgewandt, die Personen schauen in verschiedene Richtungen; immer an uns vorbei. Ausharrend und wartend proben sie verschiedene Posen. Sanchez hat die Jury mit ihrer Inszenierung der Probe als selbstreflexivem Akt überzeugt, in dem Konventionen, Rollen und Verhalten vorgeführt, und damit als solche sichtbar gemacht werden. Auf umsichtige Weise nutzt Sanchez das Motiv der Probe, um grundlegende Fragen nach der Veränderbarkeit unserer Wahrnehmungsmuster zu stellen und Möglichkeitsbedingungen für Noch-nicht-Erprobtes zu schaffen.

L’installation Proberaum (2022) rassemble une série de photos grand format qui prolonge l’examen du rapport entre la perception artistique et celle du quotidien auquel se livre Mia San-chez. Elles montrent des personnes isolées sur un fond blanc. Assises ou debout, les yeux fixant l’objectif ou s’en détournant, les personnes regardent dans différentes directions, sans jamais nous regarder. Patientes et dans l’expectative, elles se livrent à l’acte de voir. Sanchez fait de la répétition une démonstration autoréflexive. Dans une topologie du regard, elle fait défi-ler les conventions, les rôles et les attitudes et les rend visibles en tant que tels. Sanchez utilise la pose comme un motif pour poser les questions fondamentales du changement de nos modèles de perception et pour créer conditions pouvant rendre possible ce qui n’a encore jamais été expérimenté.

L’installazione Proberaum (2022) raccoglie una serie di gigantografie con le quali Sanchez analizza il rapporto tra percezione estetica e quotidiana. Protagonisti delle sue fotografie sono persone fuori contesto, su sfondo bianco, sedute o in piedi, di fronte o di spalle, che guardano in direzioni diverse, ma mai direttamente verso di noi. In paziente attesa, fanno prove con la vista. Sanchez ci presenta questa prova come dimostrazione autoriflessiva. La sua topologia della vista diventa un luogo per raffigurare convenzioni, ruoli e comportamenti, che diventano così, come tali, visibili. Il tema della prova, dal canto suo, diventa per Sanchez un’occasione per porre domande fondamentali sulla mutevolezza dei nostri schemi percettivi e sulle condizioni che rendono possibile la creazione di qualcosa di non ancora provato.

The installation Proberaum (Rehearsal Room, 2022) brings together a series of large-format photographs that continue Sanchez’s exploration of the relationship between aesthetic and eve-ryday perception. They depict people isolated against a white background. Sitting or standing, turned towards or away from the viewer, they are looking in various directions, but always past us. Persistent and expectant, they rehearse the act of seeing. Sanchez sets the rehearsal up as a self-reflective performance. In a topology of seeing, she foregrounds conventions, roles and behaviours in order to make them visible as such. Sanchez employs the motif of the rehearsal to ask fundamental questions about the mutability of our patterns of perception, and create the po-tential conditions for the hitherto untried.
