Stemming from thoughts about distortions in the fabric of time, “The past, the present, and the future walked into a bar. It was tense.” is comprised of three works by Leila Peacock which reflect on how we conceive of the temporal.
On view everyday 24/7
Dienerstrasse 33, 8004 Zürich
In her audio work “Waiting Rooms”, Leila Peacock’s mimics a voyage into the abysses of time travel : the universe is a young everything, and chronology is a mere fiction. Through plays on subjective interpretations of the notion of time and its slippery quality, the exhibition at al_vista puts into place a narration that stems from the point of view of the traveller: a meditation on the ephemeral and the inherent escapability of time.
